I was wondering if you guys could give me a little advice. What is a better deal the Peavey G-Bass or the Yamaha RBX765A??? I know that one is a four string and one is a five but what is the better value.??

Many people seem to like the Yamaha RBX765A, but I found the sound somewhat lifeless and lacking character. New strings may have helped it sound. In that price range, I like the Mexi-Fender Jazz V + replacement pick-ups. I can't comment on the Peavey bass.
