FUQ (eff -yu - cue) - FAQ's with an EDGE

Any Geddy equipment tech heads out there that can try to verify this bass?

Question:
I've bought a Rick bass that supposedly was shipped straight from Rickenbacker to a dealer in San Antonio, TX. and was meant to be picked up by a member of Rush's road crew for Geddy Lee. This was in the mid 80's. I have the serial number off the Rick (4001) that proves the date and month. Feb., I forgot the year. The dealer in SA called Rick because a rep from Rush never showed up for the bass(es) and they told him just to sell the guitar(s). This bass is actually one of two twin Ricks that were shipped for Rush. Here's a description of the Rick if anyone can tell if these specs were really Geddy's preferences.

Answer:
Yeah, those Rickenbacker bridges are clunky. Badass bridges are more high-tech; it's easier to change strings and fine-tune the action with them than it is with stock Rickenbacker bridges.
