Question:
Hey guys...I just hooked up with a praise & worship (church) band at my college. I was in the market for a bass, (I had a Fender Standard Jazz, I guess that it was made in either Mexico, or Japan. You tell me. :-) )so I was checkin' some places out. I played a Washburn that really caught my eye.
Answer:
Iwould keep the jazz bass for a couple of reasons. The looks of that Washburn will grow old after a while. The price you are paying, with a known pickup problem (sure, he said he was going to fix it, but....) is not that great. Also, if you are ever going to use it in services, I think subtle is better. The Fender will keep more of its value, and will be easier to sell when you want to upgrade to a better bass.
