Question:
I just got a Washburn XB100/DB. This is my first bass and I was wondering if it's any good. I don't need anything fancy, but I also don't want something that's really poor quality ya know?
Answer:
Over the summer I saw a bass player in a large (at least 10 pieces) salsa/merengue/soca band at a large outdoor concert, and, much to my surprise, he was using a Washburn 5-string. He seemed to be doing alright with it. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have had it, but he sounded pretty good.
