Question:
I recently purchased a used Yamaha B100 bass amp head thru Ebay. When the amp arrived, I hooked it up, and got major distortion. I took it to a local music shop, and asked them to hook it up to one of their speaker cabinets. They did, and got same distortion. The guy said it would need to be shipped out for repair. I got in contact with the seller, and ( you guessed it!) she said it worked fine when she shipped it. It seems as though I got a royal screwing. I'm trying to get this settled, and get my money back. But, it's not looking very promising. I paid $129.00, shipping included for this head. Does anyone have an estimate of what it would cost to get this repaired? Is it worth it? Or is it a wash?
Answer:
You could return it and ask for a chargeback on your credit card if you used VISA or Mastercard (not Discover or American Express). Paypal will accept not as described complaints--it's in their pulldown menu on the complaint page--but then they will inform you that the agreement does not cover that.
