Question:
Alesis just launched a range of mixers at Summer NAMM (music trade show) which have USB 2 output. The interesting ones have 4 and 8 mic inputs. No info on build quality yet but older Alesis mixers always sounded OK to me. Anyway, I'm guessing they'll be $500 and $700 or so, respectively. Add a laptop and you're toasting...well actually you could have bought one of the Tascam Firewire mixers but they're not as rugged for field work and can't be racked.
