Are you guys successfully using the Shure Mixer with your voice control?

Tagged As: Shure Mixer

Question:
Are you guys successfully using the Shure Mixer with your voice control? Why are they so expensive? If I am going to get one I would want to make sure that it would work well.

Answer:
The SHure mixer (SCM410 or SCM 810) work successfully with voice control. The reason they do is they are automatic mixers. They automatically switch the the input where there is sound and switch off all others. In addition, and more important, the have filibuster mode. This ONLY allows one mic on at a time. This way your VR software will only be listening to one mic at a time instead of listening to the whole house. In addition, these mixers have ligic inputs and outputs which can be wired into the system to inform the software of which mic is active, and allow the software to turn mics on or off.
