Question:
is there any software or patch that will put level meters into the standard windows XP sound mixer? Back in the days of windows 95 my windows sound mixer had level meters in it and I knew where I was, but now on windows XP it's just a bunch of sliders and it's a pain having to use WMM or MSN all the time to check the signal level. I've tried other level meter freeware and such but not happy with them. My sound card is a Creative Sound Blaster Live Value thingy, Model CT4780.

-What you didn't mention is WHY you need to set the levels? In other words, what applictation are you using that needs the sound input? Are you recording with something? Does your application not have a metering function included with it?
