Tagged As: Calton Guitar Case
Question:
A fellow Buscarino Owner ships his guitar around on the Airlines in a Calton Custom Case with absolutely no damage. I just called Calton in Canada and they are running such a backlog that I can't get a case until August. I need something to ship my guitar in for the Abersold jazz camp at the end of June. Can anyone reccommend a case, other than the Calton, that will stand up to the Ailines' abuse?

Check out the case extreme shipping cases. You can still pack your gtr in a normal hardshell case so when you land you have something to lug it around in. You still need to take normal precautions like making sure the headstock is fully padded inside the case. This would work for either guitar that I decide to take, just in case I don't want to take cahnces with my good guiatr. How about SKB ? Does anyone have experience with SKB guitar cases? They probably don't compare to a Calton but they appear to be built rather tough. They're sold in stores everywhere and they're much cheaper than some of the other names mentioned in this thread. It appears that SKB only has certain standard shapes available and I need a custom case for a custom guitar.
