I got an email from Cakewalk on the 22nd saying, We are pleased to announce that SONAR 5 is now shipping and is available to all our customers worldwide at store.cakewalk.com. Has anyone received it yet? I suspect not, since nobody is talking about it yet. Or are you all just being tastefully unostentatious?
Answer:
That's not a luxury anymore, but a necessity. If the one you had broke, get another. They're cheap and plentiful nowadays. Even if you simply get a player, although I can't understand why anyone would do that when you can get a decent DVD burner for about $50.00. I'm not trying to spend your money for you, but you're going to have to have a DVD on your DAW from now on if you want to update any of your software/hardware.
