Cakewalk Sonar? Anyone Tried it?

Tagged As: Cakewalk Sonar

Question:
Has anyone tried out the new Cakewalk Sonar program yet? If so, how do you like it? What are it's pros and cons? How does it compare to Pro Audio 9 or Pro Audio Deluxe 9?

Answer:
have come across two Big Bugs - one destroyed all my 6+ hours of work on a new song - midi files and all. Now I can't play or even fix the problem - crashes the program. There is one copy & paste bug - you copy from the middle of one track - paste it back onto another - then it deletes the same number of measures from Track 1 (which was never even in the equation) Also, they say you can create your own audio loops with great ease - that's KIND of true - you can create them - I just have never been able to get rid of the pops in between the looping. This is just simple stuff that should have made it past the beta folks, but it's in the released version. It's even had two updates (up to 1.02). The program itself is very promising - there are several new features I like a lot - it's just not ready for prime-time, IMHO, if you know what I mean.
