any comments or opinions on the FOSTEX DMT-8? Should i just save and get an Alesis ADAT?
Answer:
I found that the Fostex sounds just as good (if not better) and is easier to use that the ADAT.. i've had one since about 3 weeks after they came out and it works great... Only problem i've found is that a lot of the newer digital mixers and other equipment has the ADAT 8-channel digital i/o which makes working with those and ADATs easy, but they almost all have S/PDIF that will work with the Fostex, just not all 8 at a time.. for the money they are great, and unless your going to get a $3500 digital mixer go for it..
