Question:
I'm getting a Fostex VR800 and have been wondering what harddisk to use. since this unit is 8/8 track only, nearly 'every' disk would manage it, right? I have been thinking of the fujitsu drives that are liquid shocked. they have to be quite silent, right? i also thought of the western digital 600AB that is VERY ok for its price and the noise floor is also very quiet (but only 5400 rpm - does it matter?).

I have an old D80. I once tested it with an ORBS-drive. Its an IDE - removable 2.2 GB thingy wich certainly is not 7200 RPM.
