Question:
I am looking for suggestions on software that will allow me and my other band members to send multitrack files back and forth amongst ourselves for the purposes of making demos without having to be in the same place at the same time. The problem is that some of us use Mac and some Windows, and we need to be able to make the resulting files reasonably compact to send between us. We looked into Audacity but my friend said it would be kludgy as to the way it saves files (Im no computer guru so Im not sure the details) - any other ideas?
