Accoustic guitar string replacement

Tagged As: How To Replace Guitar String

Question:
While trying to tune my first guitar yesterday, I broke one of the strings. I got a new set of strings, but putting them all in would be a lot more work than replacing just the broken string. I need to know whether it's possible to just replace one broken string with the new one and keep the old strings in place.

Answer:
Of course. You can replace one or any number of strings so long as you replace them one string at a time. There is absolutely no reason to replace the whole set of strings. In fact you should never ever remove all the strings in one go even if you want to replace the whole set. Just remember to replace one string at a time, whether you want to replace one or two strings or all six strings. Remember this= ONE STRING AT A TIM
